Katie Borges started her career as a paramedic in rural Florida in 2001. After 5 years of the prehospital setting she returned to nursing school and worked as a pediatric intensive care nurse for a decade. In 2011 she earned a master’s degree from the University of California, San Francisco and became a certified pediatric nurse practitioner.
